The
Season Has Begun
(Monday
12/5/08) We are now four weeks in and the season is rolling along.
Watch
here for information about the upcoming premiership reunion, celebrating
the stars of the 1968 A-Grade Premiership
aswell as the 1978 Div 2 Reserves and 1988 B-Grade premierships.
Wayne
Backs the Saints

(Friday
21/3/08) Wayne Phillis Ford and Kia has signed on as the new Major
Sponsor of the Christies Beach Football Club.
The
initial deal between Wayne Phillis Ford and Kia and the Christies
Beach Football Club is for two years however both partners are aiming
for a promising, long term partnership.
Wayne
Phillis Ford and Kia has been a Key Corporate Sponsor and supporter
of the club for much of the past decade and this new arrangement
continues their committment to local sporting organisations and
community groups.

George
Marshall wins Bob Ryan Medal
(Tuesday
18/9/07) George Marshall has completed back-to-back honours by winning
this seasons medal for the U/18 competition. Last season George
won the equivalent medal for the U/16 competition and becomes Christies
Beach's 3rd multiple association medal winner after Paul Martin
(1974, 77, 79) and J. McIntosh (1985, 86).
The

the start of a second

Backy
wins Mail Medal!
(Monday
18/9/06) Andrew
Bachmann has become the first Mail Medallist for the Christies Beach
Football Club in 25 years.
Andrew won the medal by 1 vote from Josh Vick from Cove FC and 2
votes infront of Nick Manhood from Port Noarlunga FC.
Ironically the award was last held by a Christies player in 1981
(Gary Davenport), the year Andrew was born!
The Graham Gunn Medal (C-Grade) was won by Nathan James, also breaking
a long drought in this award for Christies Beach,
the last player to win this was Andre Barnes in 1988.
Capping off a great night was George Marshall winning the Clem Hurst
Medal (U/16).
In
other awards on the night, Shane White won the C-Grade Best Team
Man award
and Nick Bures the Under 18 Best Team Man Award.
Dillon Bellman, Aidan Coakley, Sam Richman, Eric Hussey and Gideon
Hayes were named in the Under 14 Team of the Year;
George Marshall, Jordan Smart and Matthew Morris were named in the
Under 16 Team of the Year and
Nick Bures was named in the Under 18 team of the year.
Matthew Wise was also presented with Playing Life Membership of
the Southern Football League.
